A women usually gains in average 25-34 pounds in weight during her pregnancy. Now, when moms give birth, they generally lose 12-15 pounds, leaving behind 12-20 pounds of weight still to be lost. Now, If you allow 3 months of recovery after you have given birth, you should easily lose this weight within 6-7 months. If the weight gained is more than 35 pounds while you were pregnant, concede an extra month of the diet to every 6 pounds you have gained. Here is an example, if you have put on 47 pounds, you will need about 10 months to regain your pre-pregnancy weight.
